What We Do
Project Development
Feasibility study through to ready-to-build.
TPS Energy develops renewable energy projects from feasibility study to ready-to-build. Scope covers site identification and screening, yield and constraints assessment, land agreements, development application through to planning permit, environmental approvals, connection point selection and connection strategy, and preparation of the technical documentation required for financial close. The service ends at ready-to-build: permits granted, connection secured, land tenure in place, and the project able to proceed to FID and construction.
Grid Connection
Early engagement through to Offer to Connect and Connection Agreement.
TPS Energy manages the network connection process under Chapter 5 of the National Electricity Rules, working directly with TasNetworks, Powerlink and other network service providers. Scope covers pre-enquiry feasibility and early engagement assessment; connection point selection and network capacity assessment; preparation and lodgement of the Connection Enquiry; preparation of the Application to Connect, including proposed performance standards; connection studies and power system modelling; management of the AEMO review and assessment process, including system strength and full impact assessment; negotiation of performance standards and connection technical terms; and progression to Offer to Connect and Connection and Access Agreement. Applies to generation, storage and large load connections.
Owner's Engineer
Concept design through to practical completion.
TPS Energy acts as Owner's Engineer on solar, battery storage and grid connection projects, engaged by and reporting solely to the owner. Scope covers concept design, technical specifications and EPC tender documentation, bid evaluation, design review against specification and connection performance standards, site inspection and hold-point witnessing during construction, certification of progress claims and assessment of variations, witnessing of commissioning and performance testing, and defects close-out through to practical completion.
International Supply & Project Sourcing
Package definition through to delivery to site.
TPS Energy supplies structural steel, electrical equipment and long-lead items to Australian energy and infrastructure projects, sourced from established international manufacturers. Scope covers package definition and specification; fabricator identification, qualification and audit against the applicable Australian standards; design detailing coordination; inspection and test plan development; factory surveillance and witness point attendance; certification and documentation management for AS/NZS compliance; and shipping, staging and delivery sequencing to the construction programme. We structure each supply arrangement to suit the project and the package.
