Solar Solutions
Solar energy involves the installation of photovoltaic panels to harness sunlight and convert it into clean, renewable energy. These projects contribute to reducing carbon emissions, promoting sustainability, and providing local jobs while helping to meet growing energy demands.
In solar energy systems, AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) couples refer to the ways in which solar panels and battery energy storage systems (BESS) are integrated. DC Coupling connects solar panels directly to a battery system, allowing the generated DC power to charge the batteries. This setup is efficient for storing energy and provides the ability to use the stored DC power directly or convert it to AC for use in homes and businesses. AC Coupling, on the other hand, involves converting the DC power from solar panels into AC power through an inverter before it reaches the battery system. This allows for greater flexibility in energy management, as the AC output can be fed into the grid or used in home appliances while the battery can charge or discharge independently of the solar production. Both configurations have their advantages, depending on system design goals, such as efficiency, cost, and energy management flexibility.
